Corrosion of Matter

Corrosion of Matter explores the visual and material potential of patination and natural weathering through direct printing from zinc plates. The project highlights the inherent textures, patterns, and transformations of materials shaped by time and environmental exposure, turning what is often seen as decay into aesthetic and conceptual value. The resulting prints invite reflection on time, transformation, and the dialogue between culture and nature.

By letting the patina guide the printing, natural processes become
co-creators, suggesting alternative ways of engaging with materials.

Corrosion of Matter asks how transformation can be understood, highlighting durability, aesthetics, and our relationship to the environment.
