Corrosion of Matter, 2025
Corrosion of Matter explores the visual and material potential of patination and natural weathering through direct printing from patinated zinc plates. The works highlight the textures and transformations shaped by time and oxidation, transforming what is often perceived as decay into aesthetic and conceptual value.
Rather than resisting change, weathering is embraced as a process that adds depth and memory. By allowing the patina to guide the printing process, natural forces become co-creators of the final work.
Corrosion of Matter asks how transformation can be understood not as loss, but as a resource - an archive of time and a reflection on durability, aesthetics, and our relationship with the environment.
