Communicating Tactility, 2018-2024
An ongoing investigation into the technique of graphical printing, studying surface structure and the associations it awakes through the interplay of color and layers.
Through the atypical production method of the printing plate, which is made by pouring plaster over a cardboard plate, unexpected structures appear. The heightfield created during the pouring and hardering process of the plaster is what creates the differensation in structure in the final works.
Through continuously printing the same plate, the plaster wears away, changing what is left to be printed in a slow manner.
